The information provided is used to process transactions, send periodic emails, and improve the services we provide you. We do share information with trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business and servicing clients and visitors. (Constant Contact is an example). These trusted third parties agree to keep this information confidential. Your personal information will never be shared with unrelated third parties.
If/when visitors can leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
If you are able to comment on this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
We may record non identifying information relating to use of our website, such as the searches undertaken, pages viewed, browser type, IP address, requested URL, referring URL, and timestamp information. We use this type of information to plan website content and provide the highest possible level of service available to our visitors. We also use this information to perform statistical analyses of user behavior and characteristics in order to measure interest in and use of various areas of the website.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information provided in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
You can request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
We require only the information that is reasonably required to enter into a contract with you. We will not require you to provide consent for any unnecessary processing as a condition of entering into a contract with us.
If you opt-in to our mailing list, the option to unsubscribe will be included in every email. You may access and correct your personal information and privacy preferences by contacting us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
In compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act, all e-mails sent from our organization will clearly state who the e-mail is from and provide clear information on how to contact us.
Do Not Track
Currently, “Do Not Track” settings will not adjust how we collect or use data, even if you set your web browser to send a “Do Not Track” signal when you visit this website. Once an industry consensus has been formed on this feature, we will revisit the possibility.
